When making this piece I went through the process of having the chance of trying woodworking for the first time. The project was assigned during my time at Summer Scholars, where the task was to build a wooden structure that is useable in our everyday lives. My classmates and I decided on building a custom shelf functional for dorm use for students in Gladding Residence Center.
